The Diabetic Shoppe

The Olly Neal Community Health Center in Marianna will host The Diabetic Shoppe on Thursday, January 23, from 10 am. to 12 pm. Visit them to see their new inventory of 2025 Diabetic shoes and be fitted for orthotic inserts. Patients are asked to bring their 2025 insurance card. Other services will be offered at this time. Prostate Cancer Screening

The Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation will host prostate cancer screenings on January 23, at the Olly Neal Community Health Center from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. The UAMS MammoVan will be providing on-site screening mammograms at the Olly Neal Community Health Center in Marianna on January 23. Please call UAMS Mobile Mammography to schedule an appointment at 1-800-259-8794. Other services will be offered to patients at the Olly Neal Community Health Center on this day. Delta Cultural Center to host the Exhibition: “The Redemption of a Delta Bluesman: Robert Johnson”

On Friday, January 24th, the Delta Cultural Center will host the grand opening of a new exhibition, “The Redemption of a Delta Bluesman: Robert Johnson.” The reception will begin at 5 p.m. at the DCC Visitor Center at 141 Cherry Street in Helena-West Helena. The free event will feature artist Andre L. Miller, and the exhibition will be displayed at the Delta Cultural Center from January 24th through April 4th.

 

Lee County Ducks Unlimited Banquet

The Lee County Ducks Unlimited Banquet will be Saturday, January 25th at the Marianna Civic Center  starting at 6:00 pm. Doors open at 5:30 pm with great food, fellowship and fun! Lonestar to perform @ UAEACC

Special Olympics Arkansas Area 8 Polar Plunge

The Wynne Polar Plunge at Village Creek State Park to benefit Special Olympics Arkansas will be Saturday, Feb 1st at Lake Dunn Swim Beach.  Registration begins at 11:00 am with awards and  plunge will be at Noon. February 14-17

Join the US as well as the world in connecting to birds February 14th -17th   . Spend time in your favorite places watching birds, then share all about what you found. In as little as 15 minutes, notice the birds around you, identify them, count them and submit your counts to help scientists better understand and protect birds around the world. DRIVER'S TESTING AT TROOP D

Arkansas State Police Troop D driver's testing for Skills will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The written exam will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. For more information call 870-633-1454. You will need an original copy of your birth certificate and a photo ID. You can purchase a photo ID for $5 at the Revenue Office, this is just an option, and NOT something you have to do. Either way you MUST have a photo ID.

TRANSPORTATION FOR VETS

MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY

The Disabled Arkansas Veterans is providing transportation to area veterans from St. Francis County to the VA in Little Rock. The van will pick up veterans every Monday and Wednesday at the Shell station on Holiday Drive in Forrest City at 7:05 a.m. and the Love's truck stop in Palestine at around 7:10 a.m. To reserve a spot or get more information please call 870-932-1052.
