First United Methodist Youth Annual Smoked Turkey Fundraiser

The First United Methodist Youth will be selling the Church Smoked Turkeys this year. 2024 SFC Elves Toy Project

The SFC Elves 2024 Toy Project is now underway. Monetary donations and new or toys in working order and clean condition can be dropped off at Southern Furniture, Beavers & Cline Law Office, the St. Francis County Museum, the Forrest City Public Library or the First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas – North Washington Branch. Last year over 650 needy children from the Forrest City/St. Francis County area benefitted from this project. The SFC Elves look forward to your continued support. Mississippi River State Park’s Annual Enchanted Forest

Mississippi River State Park invites everyone to celebrate the holiday season with its Annual Enchanted Forest, a holiday display lighting up the sidewalks around the Visitor Information Center from December 1-31, 2024. Local families, businesses, churches, and community groups are encouraged to join by sponsoring a tree to help create this festive experience starting now. The Enchanted Forest will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., giving visitors the chance to enjoy the decorated trees and seasonal atmosphere. Christmas 2024 at the Williams Stone House in Colt will be held on Saturday November 30th, Saturday December 7th and 14th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm each day. Delta Cultural Center 2024 Holiday Open House and Bake-Off Competition

The Delta Cultural Center will host their 2024 Holiday Open House and Bake-Off Competition on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free event will take place in the DCC Depot Museum, located at 95 Missouri Street in historic Helena-West Helena. In addition to the Bake-Off Competition, Helena-West Helena Central High School Band will perform as visitors tour the depot museum and sample entries from the baking contest. The Disabled Arkansas Veterans is providing transportation to area veterans from St. Francis County to the VA in Little Rock.
